Willaim Roache, star of Britain's best-loved soap Coronation Street, will be joining us to read from the new paperback of his inspirational autobiography SOUL ON THE STREET. The only surviving member of the original cast, Roache describes his childhood in a comfortable liberal home, and the effect his grandfather had upon him. A freemason, hypnotist, spiritualist and homoeopath, he gave Roache the confidence to choose his own path. Tickets £2 please book in advance

We had a fantastic event with the wonderful Gervase Phinn who was promoting his new paperback HEART OF THE DALES. Gervase was hugely entertaining and had the entire audience of over 250 in stitches. SALLIE DAY - THURSDAY 22ND MAY 7.00PM

We had a super event with Sallie who was promoting her fantastic debut novel 'THE PALACE OF STRANGE GIRLS' just published by HarperCollins. Set in Blackpool 1959 it follows the Singleton family on their week-long holiday. It is a wonderful evocation of the period and we loved it. Thanks to Sallie for such an entertaining evening and to all those who came to hear her.
